Steve S. Rao, a native of Charleston, West Virginia brings over a decade of proven leadership at the intersection of government, technology, and public policy. At State Federal Strategies, Steve advises technology companies on Sales and Business Development strategy for state and local governments. As a long-serving member of the Morrisville Town Council since 2011, and the first Indian American elected to office in North Carolina, Steve has built a distinguished career as a trusted public servant, consensus-builder, and advocate for innovation-driven economic growth.
Throughout his public service, Steve has worked extensively with federal, state, and local leaders on issues ranging from economic development, infrastructure, small business growth, and workforce development to technology policy, AI innovation, and public-private partnerships.
